Superman Saves The Day!

Hello to all my crafty friends.
I can not believe it has  been well over a week since I last posted anything. Seems like I hit a brick wall when it came to my scrap booking and I just didn't feel like doing a darn thing, but thanks to this weekends scrap retreat, I am happy to say that I found my Mojo and I am now ready to rock and roll.
This is a photo from a trip that Hubby and I took in 2009 to Universal Studios in Florida and yes I must say that Superman saved the day when it came to both my scrap booking and the fine people of Metropolis.
This is a shot of the left side of the layout showing you a little more detail.
I love the way I was able to use two of the stamps from Joy's Life My Hero  for this layout.
Don't you think they are just perfect to go along with this photo?
I am sure I must of been saying this out loud or at least thinking it as I walked by this display of Clark Kent's office from the Daily Planet.
Here is a close up of the phone booth that was purchased from the Silhouette online store.
Superman was a free SVG from a blog that is no longer available without a personal invite.
and finally I have a close up of Superman that was cut with my Cameo.
I hope you enjoyed today's layout as much as I enjoyed creating it. Funny how a bit of good company and a couple of drinks will get you back in the swing of things!
Have a wonderful week my friends.
I will be entering this layout in the following Challenges:
Oozak challenge # 15- Blue, stars and strips.
Hiding in My Craft Room 100B challenge - Die Cut
Red Carpet Studio- Create a layout with stripes.

Disney Easel Card Hoppy Birthday!

Hello and good morning to all my Crafty Friends!
Today I have another fun project using Joys Life Stamps.
This week the girls from Joys Life Design Team were asked to use dimension on their projects. My Grand daughter Katie has a Birthday coming up in July so I decided to make a  Easel card using Disney Classics Cricut Cartridge for the rabbit which is on page 28.
This is a side view of the card showing all the pop up dots I added for extra dimension.
I then used two different sets of Joy's Life Stamps to create my sentiment.
"To a Fabulous Grand Daughter" from Joy's Life Mother and Daughters
and
"Hoppy Birthday" from Joy's Life Lots of Puns
The Easel card was cut with my Cameo using last weeks freebie from My Scrap Chick.

I hope you enjoyed today's card, thanks for stopping bye and have a great week.

Who Needs Coffee???

Good Morning and Happy Monday!
Today it is my turn to post over at Joys Life  Design Team.
This week the girls have been asked to make Home Decor Projects.
We are all huge fans of Coffee it this house so I decided to make a sign and tip jar to place beside my coffee pot in the basement.
The coffee cup was cut from Cricuts Love you a Latte at 3 inches. I then added my wonderful sentiment from Joys Life "Mother and Daughter" set.

This is a picture of my Daughter at the last scrap camp we went to up in the mountains. We had so much fun so we have booked another one for the end of this month.
Thanks for stopping bye, have a great week!

Heart Shaped Easel Wedding Card

Good Morning and Happy Monday!
Today it is my turn to post a project for the Design Team over at Joy's Life.com.

I have started to work on a few different Wedding Cards, with the hopes of  once I get a few posted I will  ask  my wonderful followers to help me pick out which one they like best to give to my Nephew and his Finance for their wedding in January.

This beautiful heart shaped easel card is a SVG file which was shared by Ligay's Creativity Zone
Gayle was even kind enough to make me a special print and cut file with the Bride and Grooms names since I was having trouble using the cut and print feature on my Cameo.
I was able to snag a copy of the future Bride and Groom off of Facebook and since they are having a beach wedding, I thought this was the perfect picture for the card.
I used Joy's Life "Everyday Occasion" for the Best Wishes sentiment on the banner.
Here is a close up of the sentiment and banner.
The banner was purchased at the silhouette store along with the love birds.
The bird and swirls were also purchased from the silhouette store, I cut them out three times for added dimension then added a couple of pearls and stickles for the finishing touches.
Challenges entered:
DL. Art Thankful Thursday May Linky Party- anything goes
Silhouette Challenges- anything goes.
Hiding in My Craft Room- Name your colours.
Thanks for stopping bye and have a great week.

Cascading Halloween Card for 2 Creative Chicks Monthy Challenge

Hello all my Crafty Friend!
Today I am honored to be a guest Designer over at 2 Creative Chicks. Challenge Blog. For those who have never heard of them, they are a monthly challenge blog that are very upbeat and fun to work with!

(front of the card)
This month challenge is all about "googly eyes"
For the back of my card I used the digital paper that was provided from our sponsor
Tabitha Designs

I have just been dying to try making a cascading card for my nephews wedding in January but really didn't  want to use my expensive paper on it, just in case I screwed up!
 and yes! Darned it anyway.
 I did!
(left side of card)
So after wasting a bit of paper and fooling around I was able to come up with this wonderful creation.
(right side of card)
I am just tickled pink with the way it turned out.
I will admit I did spend a lot of time to decorate it, but I really think it was worth every minute of my time.

Cartridges used:
Happy Hauntings
October 31st
Frightful Affair.
Paper used: Kraft Journal card stock
Martha Stewart
and scraps from my stash.
