Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday! Wedding Bliss!

Hello my Crafty friends. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I just wanted to stop by and show you a card I made for a couple of challenges going on right now.
The first being Fantabulous Cricut Blog: Wedding Bliss
Make a project for the happy couple (wedding or anniversary)
I decided on a Anniversary card.
For the card base a used a free file from  Monica's Creative Room. This card is called a gate fold and I just love all the detail cuts in it. If you are looking for it it is card #16.
The beautiful detailed hearts on the front of the card were cut from Wedding Cricut Cartridge at 2 inches. I used a pretty pink shimmer paper which does not show up in the pictures.
For the Happy Anniversary I used Martha Stewart Elegant Cakes Cricut Cartrige and cut it at 1.5 inches.
Final touches were a bit of chalking around the edges of the card, some pretty heart brads and a heart charm.
I am also going to enter the card over at D.L. Art: Wedding or Anniversary challenge.
As always thanks for stopping bye, have a great weekend.

Gone To The Beach!

Last year when we were in Hawaii we came across this store with full life size bears. I couldn't help but want to get our picture taken with them to show the grand kids . I have never seen such large bears, my hubby is 5'7 and I am 5'5 and we are standing up tall and straight. At the time I didn't know I was going to be part of Bear Hugs Design Team and when Karel came out with these files I knew just which picture I was going to work with. I just love the way it turned out and I am already thinking about page two.

The layout itself was super fast to throw together, using paper that I had gotten about eight years ago.
I wanted to tie in the bright colours of the umbrella and came across some more old paper which I had picked up in Hawaii over five years ago but  thought was to busy to use as a background so just added a small amount to tie everything together. The Bears are from Bear Hugs by Art and Scraps Beach Babes
The Lei is from the Dollar store which I just cut in half and used for both bears.

I am going to enter this layout in the following challenges:
Creative Cutter Room: Summer Fun
Die Cut Diva's: Summer Fun
Getting Cricky with K Andrew: Summer Celebration
Cardz TV: Anything goes
As always my crafty friends thanks for stopping bye and leaving me some love. Have a Great weekend.

Families Rock! Day 4 and 5 of The Paper Doll Teen Scene Challenge and Give Away!

Hello my crafty friends, today I have finished up my last two dolls for Renee's Teen Scene Challenge.and give away. It has been so much fun playing with these paper dolls, it took me back to when I was a Young girl. My hubby even said to me "now I know why you like scrapbooking so much it like playing with dolls"and you always have been a kid at heart".

 So here are the boys!
This is Alex, I added a skate board to his page and a little tag that was from Groovy Times cartridge.
I created the title Families Rock with my Cameo thinking my granddaughter could add pictures of her cousins.
The second and last fellow is called Tyler.
Like I said this was such a fun challenge and you still have time to join in on the fun. Just go over to Renee's blog at I came, I saw, I created and check it out. The give away is open until Saturday so you still have time.
Sorry the pictures are not the greatest but the sun had gone down and I really wanted to get these on tonight and start on my next project.
So as always thank you for stopping bye and leaving me such lovely comments. Have a great week!

Bear Hugs Weekly Challenge

Welcome to week two of Bear Hugs Face book Challenge! This weeks challenge is to make a project and Bling it up. I love my little girl, but I am very disappointed with the way the picture turned out. The card is just filled with shinny glitter and sparkle which you cannot see at all. Even the little ice cream cone is all glossy and shinny but yet once again the camera has not picked it up. I used two different Bear Hug files to create my sweet little girl. The body and hair are from Two Scoops and the dress and head band are from Time To Clean. Both sets can be purchased at Bear Hugs Art and Scraps.

It has been so hot here in Edmonton for the last week or so and I have had one of my granddaughters staying with me so it was hard to find the time or energy to scrap. Earlier this week I saw this sketch challenge for Die Cuttin Diva's,  and decided to give it a try. I love a good challenge and this look like a really cute sketch for what I had in mind.

I used George and Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge for the circles, which I have saved on my gypsy and makes it a breeze when it comes to making my cards. Once again I had both my Cameo and my Cricut Expression cutting at the same time, making music to my ears. LOL!
I am also going to enter this card over at Fantabulous Cricut: make a project with any type of summer treat.
Once again my crafty friends thanks for stopping bye. Have a great weekend and I hope to see you over at Bear Hugs Fan page showing us your cute Bear Hugs Projects.

Welcome to The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter

Before anyone says anything I am in the process of fixing this title! I lost my Z somewhere! I told you this layout was CURSED! LOL!
I have been wanting to scrap these pictures from Universal Studios every since we got back last year, but for some reason I just could not get this page to come together. I wasted so much paper, I had to go online and order it from E-Bay because our local scrapbooking stores were no longer carrying it, but with a lot of love and patients for scrapbooking it was well worth the extra couple of grey hairs in the process. I just love the way it turned out and cannot wait to start the second page.
I even created the title myself using my Cameo and a free Harry Potter Font I found on line.
Before we went to Universal Studios I had heard of Harry Potter and my Hubby and kids had seen all the movies, but I didn't think it was something I would enjoy. LOL! Man oh man was I ever wrong, talk about amazing, it totally blew my mind and now I am already reading book four and cannot wait to finish all the books so I can start to watch the movies.

Isn't Harry simply great? I got the SVG file from a site that is only by invite only right now, which is a real a shame because her Disney files were so fun to work with and I have no ideal what happened or why.

I will tell you I did have a lot of trouble getting the shield to cut for me, but I think I need a new blade for my Cameo and they are on back order, so until then I have to make do with what I have.
I will be entering this in Lets Get Sketchy challenge
Here is a picture of this weeks sketch.
As always thanks for stopping bye and have a super fun week!

Just Chillin! BeachBums! Part Two!

Well here we are with another week of new challenges and I am so happy to see a few of the blogs I follow have decided on summer time or beach projects. I don't know if you remember a few weeks ago I did a layout called Beach Bums, well I have just been dying for a chance to do the second page and I am just so happy with the way it turned out!
I used Bear Hugs Art and Scraps SVG file Beach Bums for these awesome waves. On the sandpaper beach I added a pair of flip flops and a turtle charm.
I asked my hubby what he thought I should call this layout and he said "Just Chillin", cause that is what he was doing. The picture was taken this past October in Hawaii on our 42 wedding anniversary. I sure wish I was there right now so I could just jump into that ocean and cool off!.

I used  the cricut cut from Summer Fun for the dude hanging out in the beach chair. Hubby was not to happy with me when I said it look just like him! LOL!
The title just Chillin was cut in glitter paper but it is just not showing up in the picture like in real life. I used my cameo to create it. So once again for this layout I had both machine cutting away at the same time. LOL!
So here are the two pages together.
I will be entering the following challenges with the layout.
Monica Madness Cameo Creations: Anything goes!
Scrappy Moms Stamps  "Hit the Beach"
Getting Cricky with K Andrews Simply Sunday Challenge "Summer Celebrations"

Hello my Crafty friends, today a have a quick  card for you using another darling SVG from Bear Hugs Art and Scraps. This one is called Just Me and My Teddy.
This card is called a Criss Cross Fold and the instruction can be found over at Splitcoast Stampers. I just love this type ofl card, it is so easy, different and fun to make..

Once again I was able to use all scrap paper to make the card. I am really trying to get my bucket down in size. I swear I don't throw anything away when it comes to my scraps and it is beginning to get harder and harder to search through it.
