Elmo Treat Bag for Exploring with Cricut Challenge.

This weeks challenge at Exporing with Cricut is called " Its a Box" with all the great Cricut cartridges we have that have party favors, boxes, bags etc. they are challenging us to be creative and think inside the box for a change.
So I am continuing on with my New Years resolution to use all my Cricut cartridges at least once this year!
So I just went Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe
and the winner was Baby Steps!
Who knew there was a gift bag on this cartridge? I sure and the heck didn't!
On the very last page of the book is a boys diaper and if you use the font key , you will get this sweet little gift bag.
I set my expression on "fit to page" and came up with this adorable gift bag, it was so easy.
It is large enough to hold two bottles of bubbles.

I then decided to spruce it up a bit and added a cut of Elmo, from Sesame Street Seasonal Cartridge, who just happens to be my little sisters granddaughter favorite, so I now have this little treat bag all ready for her next visit....She loves surprises!
This was all done very late last night when I should of been in bed sleeping, but when the mood strikes, I just have to go with it.
I hope you enjoyed today's project as much as I had making it. As always thanks for stopping bye and if you have not left a comment for my 800 follower, there is still time! It will stay at the top of the page until the draw on May 15th.
Have a great weekend my Crafty friends!

Mel's Diner! Universal Studios Florida

Travel back to a more simple time when rock and roll was born and Doo-Wop was the rage. Mel's Drive-in is a scene right out of American Graffiti complete with a few vintage cars parked out front. No trip to Orlando  Florida would be complete without a vist to Universal Studios.
I love the challenges at Lets Get Sketchy and this weeks sketch was no different! As soon as I saw it I just new I wanted to play along!
This is my take of the sketch.

When going through a bunch of my old papers, I came across this sheet of Coca Cola paper which was very busy on its own, but I new I could work it into the sketch without it taking over the whole page. The rest of the paper is just from KC and company paper packs.

I used My Cricut Cartridge Nifty Fiftys for all the cuts on the layout.
The girl and drive in sign were cut at 4 inches and the car was cut at 2.5 inches.
This weeks challenge at Fantabulous Cricut is called "On the Go" make a project with a car, bike, plane, tain etc.
The picture was taken in front of Mels Diner at Universal Studios 2011.
As always thanks for stopping bye.
Don't forget I have a give away going on right now, celebrating 800 followers, if you have not left a comment yet, there is still time. You can find the posting at the top of the page.

Rain, Rain Go Away!

I Came, I Saw, I Created
I love this name for a blog, it just makes me want to run downstairs and start to create!
Anyway, she
has a beautiful colour challenge going on right now. I just fell in love with the colours she used and looked around in all my papers to see what I could come up with.
I then decided on the type of card I was going to make and I have be wanting to try a circle Easel card for a long time and it just so happens that the challenge over at the Cuttlebug Spot is a Easel Card.

I used Bugbites All Occasion Stamp Set for the sentiment, which works in just perfect with all of the challenges going on right now.
I finally got around to using my Nursery Rhymes Cricut cartridge for the first time.

The next challenge I wanted to work into the card was for the Creative Cutter Room, I love all of their challenges, and try not to miss any. This weeks challenge is April Showers and you must use a bow made of ribbon.

Here is a picture of the card all closed up, isn't it pretty?
There are a couple other challenges I will enter this card into, the first being
Fantabulous Cricut-April Showers
and Cardz TV- April Showers.
As always my crafty friends, thanks for stopping bye, have a great day and don't forget to leave a comment for my 800 Follower Give Away posted at the top of my blog.

Furever Friends!

Today's card is going to be used for three different challenges. The first challenge is a sketch and colour challenge (Blue, Green and Purple) for My Cricut Craft Room.
This is a picture of the sketch.
This is my take of the sketch.
I used both Kate's ABC's and Nate's ABC's for the cricut cuts.
My sentiment is from Joys Life
Papers are just from my scrap bucket.
The next challenge is for Bugjuice with Deb this is also a colour challenge (yellow and blue) if you haven't checked out this challenge you should get over there now!  Debby is giving away a Cri Kits Embossing pen and two packs of coloured tin. This is a value of $36.00! you still have time to join in the fun,  DARN! maybe I should be quiet about this one so I can win it! LOL!

Last but not least we have the Wobble Wednesday's challenge #6- make a project with a pet on it and put it on a wobble. We have the cutest little dog named Buttons and she is one heck of a spoiled Princess! She loves going for walks and she does put her little nose up in the air just like this puppy does when we get close to home as if to say....What already! I don't think so, I'm not done yet, how about once more around the block?
Hope you enjoyed today's project. Thanks for stopping bye and leaving a little love.

My Craft Room

Scrappers In the Making went on a shopping over the weekend in search of things to help organize her scrap room. Man! Oh Man! Did she ever come home with a bunch of cool stuff, a lot that is in my scrap room already!
So she has decided to have a Be-lated Blogaversary/Blog Makeover giveaway for her followers and all you have to do is share pictures of your craft space and or storage ideas.
I am very lucky to have a nice size room all to myself in the basement. It has taken a bit of time to get it the way I want it but I think I just might be close to where I want to be.
Desk 1
I love this Clip it Up, I pick it up on Kijji for $35.00.
This is where I have my Cricut Expression and my Cameo sitting. The four drawers are filled with die cuts and embossing folders for my cuttlebug. The three drawers are filled with ribbons
Underneath is where I have paper packs, cuttlebug plates die cuts and my scrap paper which is filed by colours in folders in the basket.
More paper in the rolling file folder.
This is where I keep all my flock, glitters, stickles, glues etc.
This is the wonderful stickle holder my hubby made me.

A couple of paper racks.
I picked this magazine rack up at the Goodwill for $10.00
Inside my messy closet.
My Cricut Cartridge collection, minus a few that are visiting a friends home.
My desk and computer area. The cupboard is where the breaker panel is so we just hung a couple of magnetic boards there for me to keep track of things.
Another one of my hubby great projects, my ribbon holder.
More paper!!! I think I might have a problem!
and yet more paper. Hope you enjoy the tour of my scrap room. I am so happy to be able to share it with you.

Going Back In Time!

When I first saw this car On Wrap It Up Cricut Cartridge, I knew I had to make a card with it. It just reminds me of a time in history when things were a lot more simple.

I made the card for this weeks challenge at Fantabulous Cricut: this weeks challenge was to use at least one bow and one button.
And
Go Fish Challenge Blog: this weeks challenge - Anything goes!

I wanted this card to be for my hubby, so this worked out just perfect. I don't know if you can see it in the pictures but my brads are buttons.
This is a picture of the inside of the card and I will just add a poem, later when I know which occasion it is for.  I used Elegant Edges  and Wrap it Up for the card.
Hope you enjoyed today's project.
Thanks for stopping bye, have a great week!

Thank You Card for a couple of my Favorite Challenges.

This week The Cuttlebug Spot is having a Sketch challenge, so of course I just had to play! I have my fingers crossed that I win because the prize is super cute and it is my favorite colour which is hot pink!!!
Here is a picture of the sketch.
and here is my take on it.
The sketch really reminds me of a picture frame, so this is what I was trying to achieve.
I went with a square card that measures 4.25 inches.
I also decided to make it into a Thank you card so I could play along with D.L. Art Thankful Thursday challenge.
Cartridges used were
Elegant Edges and April Showers.
Martha Stewart Ink to chalk the edges.
Pop up dots for dimension and a couple of crystal butterflies and flower.
As always thank you for stopping bye and leaving such lovely comments, have a great weekend.

May Your Day Bloom With Happiness!

I found a new Blog called Card Pattern Weekly Sketch Blog and just fell in love with this weeks sketch so I decided to play along.
This is a picture of this weeks Sketch.
Here is my take on the sketch. I decided to make a larger card, so a beautiful Mother Day poem could be added at a later date. The card measures 5X7. The sentiment at the bottom of the card is from My Craft Spot.
The tag in the middle of the ovals was cut at 2.5 inches using Wrap it Up Cricut cartridge.
The flowers were cut at 2.5 inches from Flower Shop Cricut Cartridge, which I finally took out of the package and am I ever glad I did!
All edges were inked and papers were from my stash, I then added a lot of bling and stickles to the card. I used brads to spell out the word Mom.
I am also going to enter this card over at Exploring Cricut : this weeks challenge is April showers brings us flowers, project must have at least one cricut cut flower. ( thanks girls for finally making me use this cartridge, it totally ROCKS )
I wish the colours had turned out better in the pictures, they are so much richer then shown.

One Last Easter Project Before the Kids Arrive!

So I decided to go done stairs last night and finish off my Easter projects. I have 4 smaller grandchildren so I thought I would make them each a treat box of some sort. I have been fighting a cold all week and just have not felt up to it, but what do you do?

I used my new baby girl to do the cuts, I am so happy with my Cameo. I know there is a lot of learning yet to do, but once I am feeling back up to par...watch out! I combined two different SVG files to make this darling Easter treat box. The cute little owl was a freebie from Treasure Box Designs and the treat box is from Creative Kutz 3D.
This is a picture of all four treat boxes I made for the kids. We have hidden candy around the house and are just waiting for them to come and have some fun!
I am also going to link this cute little treat box over at Monica's Creative Madness for here Easter Cameo Challenge.
Happy Easter, stay safe and enjoy your family and loved ones.
