Cooking With Cricut Challenge #57

Today is my first posting as a new member of the Design Team for Cooking with Cricut. I am so excited to be part of this wonderful blog and look forward to all the upcoming challenges. This weeks challenge #57 is scarecrows, hay, crows and 3 Sketches. For my first challenge with this amazing team I decided to follow the fun two page layout sketch that was provided.
Last year we had these wonderful family photos taken as part of a fundraiser. It was hard to get everyone together at one time, but I am so happy we did. Page one is a picture of Myself, Hubby, our two children and of course our beautiful grandchildren, it is hard to believe that this group of people all came about because two people fell in love! The second page I have my daughter Christy and her family and below is my sons Russell and his family.

The cute little crow is from a cutting file called Silly Crows which can be purchased from Paper Crafting World

Cartridges used were:
Disney- Princesses Happily Ever After- Pumpkin Vine
Old West- Hay
Disney- Hannah Montana- Letters and numbers
Mini Monsters- The Fence

Embossing folders used were:
Cuttlebug: Tiny Mosaic for the corn, Swiss Dots for the letters and pumpkins, Pumpkins for the photo matts.
Craft Concepts- Wood grain for the fence.

So now it is your turn to go over to Cooking With Cricut and share with us what you can cook up with this awesome challenge.

Fall/Halloween Blog Hop! BOO!

Welcome to the Fall/Halloween Blog Hop. First I would like to thank Nicolette for putting this wonderful Blog Hop together. If you arrived here from Kari Blog you are on the right track. If you are a regular follower of mine and would like to start at the beginning please click HERE  I am sure you will not what to miss any of the wonderful projects along the way!

For my project today I decided to make a  Halloween Layout. I will add pictures when I get back from vacation. I hear that you folks in the United States really like to decorate for Halloween so I am hoping to get some good shots to add to the layout.

This amazing BOO Tag was given to me in a parcel that I won as won candy. The tag was made by KinderstampO and the pictures do not do it justice. When I first saw it I just knew I would use it on a Halloween layout. It is like she just knew what paper I was going to use.

The only cricut cut on the layout are the two scalloped circle photo mattes and they were cut from a SVG file.

BLOG CANDY ALERT!!!

I do have some Halloween  Thyme  Blog Candy for one lucky follower, just leave a comment and I will draw for a winner when I get back from Beautiful Hawaii.
Now it is time to send you off to the amazing talented Amy-Jo to see what spooky project she has come up with. Thank you for stopping by my blog, have a wonderful weekend!

Just Another Day in Paradise! Hawaii 2011

Just a quick post to say Aloha to all my family and Blogging friends. Right now hubby and I are spending 15 days in beautiful Hawaii  celebrating both his birthday and our 41st wedding Anniversary. We have left the kids and grand kids behind to look after the dog and house while we spend their inheritance.
I made this digital layout tonight while sitting back enjoying a nice ocean breeze , a cold beer and watching the sunset.
Thanks for stopping bye!

My Last Design Team Posting for My Craft Spot.

Welcome to another Mondays Challenge with My Craft Spot. Today's challenge is a colour challenge!Use the colours black with purple, orange or green. I decided to make these cute little treat containers for my grand kids which I found over at Hawaii Paper Party. If you would like the instructions on how to make them, here is the link for the video. The treat containers hold a eraser and a couple of spooky tattoos.

I used my Martha Stewart punch to make the blood border and then added 4 different sayings from My Craft Spots Happy Hauntings Stamp Set. The bats on the front were cut using Paper Dolls Dress up Cricit Cartridge
Today will be my last posting as part of the design team for My Craft Spot. I cannot believe that six months has already gone by.  It has been such a pleasure working with Kim and I will miss her and the rest of the DT, but it is time for me to move on.

I do have some real exciting news to share! First off I am leaving for Hawaii next Monday to celebrate both my hubby's birthday and our 41st wedding anniversary. I am so excited I can hardly sleep, my second bit of good news is I am now going to be part of the Design Team for Cooking with Cricut.
As always thanks for stopping by, have a great week!

Hoo-ray for You! To Cute To Spook!

Time for another fun challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut, one of my favorite challenge blogs, I am so happy I get to play along this week. This weeks Challenge Me Monday #80 is called "Pumpkin Time", use a pumpkin on your project .
I decided to make a Halloween card for my project.
The pumpkins are 3D stickers that I picked up from the Dollar store last year. The owl was cut from Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge. I then used some beautiful black crinkled ribbon from My Craft Spot to finish the card.
I will be entering this card in the following challenges: Fantabulous Cricut "Pumpkin Time"
Tacky Tuesdays: Use a owl from any cartridge and the word "Hoo"
More Than Favors: Wacky Wednesday: Colour Challenge. Black, green, organge and purple.
My Craft Spot: To Cute To Spook!
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful week.
