Cute Little Owl Card

Wow! I cannot believe I have not visited my scrap room since last Friday. This is so not like me. LOL. Today I decided to make a card using my Paisley Cartridge, this cartridge is so neat, with lots of cool thing to choose from. I have always wanted to do a owl of some sort, so today was the day. I cut the owl at 3.50 inches and used up some of my scraps. Hope you all enjoy, I know I had fun making it.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish Cheerleaders!

These outfits were given to the girls by good old Papa. He found them on E Bay and couldn't pass them by. Now when ever a Notre Dame game is on he has his own personal cheer leading squad. I did this layout for a challenge over at Paula's More Than Favors

Calling All Princesses! Throwback Thursday Challenge following a Sketch from Sassy Lil Sketches

Today I have the most darling layout of one of my grand daughters, whose name just happens to be Jasmine. So I decided to use my Dreams come True Cartridge and use the cuts from the Jasmine Princess page. I used a sketch that I found over at Sally Lil Sketches which I just loved and knew it would work very well with what I had in mind. I am entering this layout for the following to challenges.
My Creative Time for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge and

Riviera Maya Mexico : Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge me Monday #24 Hot- Tropical Theme!
These pictures were taken in May when we went to Riviera Maya Mexico which is located directly on the beautiful Kantenah Beach. The Resort was surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. The pool was so big it would take me 35 minutes every morning to water jog around it twice. I figured if I did the exercise, I could have a couple more drinks. LOL!
I used Life is a Beach cartridge cutting the chair at 4 inches and the drinks at 3 inches.

Farewell Vegas: Thoughts 2 Paper Challenge # 8

Well I found another cool blog and they have a great sketch challenge going on ending on Sept 5Th, called Thoughts 2 Paper. so I thought I should see what I could come up with. So I took the sketch and sort of flipped it and turned it and this is what I came up with, hope it is O.K. I used Storybook Cartridge for all cuts.
This was our last day in Vegas and we were on our way to the airport. We had stopped at Subway for a bite to eat and were sitting in the parking lot drinking the last of our beer! Gotta love Vegas. This was my daughter first time in Vegas and we were celebrating her 39Th birthday. We had a ball, four crazy women let loose for a fun and wild weekend! AND YES THAT IT WAS!

Baby Card for Cuttlebug Spot Challenge

This weeks challenge # 93 over at Cuttlebug Spot is to make a baby project. I chose to make a card this week. I used wild card for the carriage cutting it at 7.50 inches and using Swiss dots to emboss it. The background paper was embossed with Dots and Spots. I used the cutest lace to trim the rim with, it is tiny little rocking horses with pearls. I think the card turned out adorable and would be great for either sex.

Snow Angels: Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #23 The Great Out Doors

Fantabulous Cricut are having another awesome challenge this week. Challenge #23 is the great outdoors! Well. I live in Canada, so this means most of our years we have snow. The kids love it but Us old ones hate it. The picture I chose to scrap book, is my youngest grand daughter Jasmine. She came to spend the weekend with us and I took her outside to play and show her how to make snow angels in the snow. Everything was going great until she got snow up her sleeve then all hell broke loose. LOL!
I used Snow Friends to cute the snow man at 7 and 1/2 inches, then I used Hello Kitty Font for the angel cutting her at 3 inches And last I used cold outside for the snow flakes. I love the way this layout came together. Hope you enjoy.

Walk With Me! Sketchy Thursday September GDT Challenge

Today I have decided to entry a layout I did for Sketch Thursday The sketch is for their September Guest Design Challenge. I have never entered any of the design team challenges so I have my fingers crossed that I at least make the top five. As my father always said, "if you do not try, you will never win", and he was a very wise man! So here goes nothing, to late to turn back.
This was a picture my sister took at our family picnic this summer at Rundle Park, with my niece Jasmine, her sweet little daughter and my nephews cute little guy. When my sister, Penny sent me this picture I just knew I had to scrap it!

The Poem Reads:
Walk alongside me, mommy
and hold my little hand.
I have so many things to learn
that I don't yet understand.

Teach me things to keep me safe
from dangers every day.
Show me how to do my best
at home, at school, at play.

Every child needs a gentle hand
to guide them as they grow.
So walk alongside me, mommy -
We have a long way to go.

My Creative TimeThrowback Thursday. Frame It!

So for today's card I decided to do a card that I could enter for the challenge over at My Creative Time This weeks Throwback Thursday Challenge, Emma chose to use "Paperdoll Dress Up" and decided the theme for this week should be Frame it. I love this cartridge so I knew it was going to be a fun challenge. Then my sister Debby decided that she would give me a extra challenge. Her Challenge: make a card for our nephews wedding. Which is next weekend, she wanted the card to be cute, fun and Hawaiian themed so she could put money in it for there honeymoon. If she likes it, she is going to give me five bucks for it and it will be my first sale! Who cares that it is family, it is a sale.

Some-birdy Loves You!

The card I have today, I made for my nephew and his wife. They just moved into a new home so I thought it would be nice to send them a card to let them know how happy we are for them.
The card is called a fancy double fold and it was fun to make for a change instead of the routine card that I usually make.
I will be entering two challenges with this card.
The first challenge is over at Wee Memories There challenge is Buttons, Brads and Bling. I used buttons on the front of the card, bling for the birds eyes and brads on the inside tweet saying. So I think I covered all bases with this one.
The second challenge is over at Card Creations & More By C This is Christina very first challenge so I thought I would give it a whirl. For Cristina's challenge you just need to use your Create A Critter Cartridge and if you do not have this cartridge, any critter will do.
I cut the birds at 2.30 inches using the flip button for one of the birds. I used my new Pink Stamper Stamps for the sweet saying!
So that's it for tonight, hope you enjoy and please remember, I love when you leave comments!

12X12 Layout Sketch # 41

Creative Genealogy Scrapbooking is having another sketch challenge and I love sketch challenges! This one was so nice and worked really well with a page I did earlier this year of a family picnic we had at Rundle Park. The arrow was cut at 1 inch, you and me at 2 and 1/2 inchs and together was cut at 1 and 1/2 inchs I used Graphically Speaking for all the cuts.
